Really didnt feel like it today. Weather ,rain, wind etc. Managed to get a ride with team nbc. Rhys, Shane, rob and matt. Felt jaded from Mile 1. usually after 10 to 15 miles it settles down. Not today. Usually i put this down to dehydration and it may well have been.
Did the Angle loop then onto to tenby. Puncture. Luckily i checked my spare before i left it had a puncture too. The pigs are still getting out of their pen. Can’t wait to get rid of those two……well pigs, quite frankly.Anyway so the upshot was i had a functioning spare. No tyre levers though.Rhys lent me his. I was hoping to drop out at this point as was only a mile from mums house. Nope.on to narberth through the lanes to sageston, ridgeway home. Rob had a puncture somewhere which turned out to be quite amusing as we all struggled to get his Co2 canister to pop. Rhys saved the day.Shane was hilarious. All cold now though. I was just going through the motions. Everytime i put any pressure into the pedals could feel an immediate lactic build up. Could be the constant fear of over training, A bottle of wine friday night after a half marathon or combo of all of the above. Another puncture going up St Daniels Hill. Average speed was 15.8 b 4 that. Had no other spare so rode home on the flat. Good ride though. Good laugh with the boys. Rhys looked strong throughout.
