Wed was a rest day. Did random swim session 4 in the pool thursday morning (2.4 k).Turbo in the evening with ollie.Turned up an hour early,can’t seem to get these times right.So slept in the Van for half an hr then on the floor of the gym for 15 mins.Mr Fabulous was his usual self with that particular brand of humor that is always amusing. Main set was 3 times 3 mins at threshold 2 mins rest.3x 2 mins 90 secs rest, 3 x 1 min 30secs rest , 4 x30 secs 15 secs rest. Was pretty hard but went ok and went well into threshold. Ollie was on form and him and Pat had a threshold party. I think Pat was, as usual , the ring leader. Good value that man. Perk a suicidal mormon on downers up that boy.Into Friday and threshold session 1 in the pool (3.2k) went well was a bit busy at times and still breast strokers in the training lane.But i refuse to be the lane rager another time. Today was a yodel,sports direct, birmingham midshires mortgages expression session. Much to slackys chagrin. Placed an order with sports direct , delivery company “yodel.” They will not leave a delivery without a signature. A note on the door of your remote farmhouse with no near neighbours isn’t good enough. Fast forward numerous emails, as you physically cannot speak to a human with either company, explaining that i live alone, there will never be anyone to sign for it etc. £ delivery attempts. I now have to drive to Swansea to pick up my new runners. Cancelled the order.the only good thing about the distance selling regulations. Next phone call. Mortgage ! A payment hasn’t gone through. Ok . I can pay it now on a debit card. Just go through some security questions. Full name,managed that one. DOB, all going swimmingly at this stage. What day of the month does the payment go out, no idea. How much is it? No idea. Whats the postcode ? Wrong again. So they can’t help me as they cannot verify my details. Ok, so they phoned me! On the number given on the original application. So,what they are suggesting is that someone else has stolen my phone .They have called that phone. And the phone thief is now attempting to pay my mortgage for me! He hung up when i put this to him. Slacky was laughing so hard he nearly fell off the roof. Modern living. Non convenient convenience. Friday night.Couldn’t face a run and Wales were playing france. We won.All players stepped up the pace and it was good to see. Saturday ,a nice day . No time for a bike ride as have to work, so out for a run. 10.6 miles at 7.45 min miles. Focus on increasing stride cadence upto 90/94 hamstrings felt that and running at a level height.i.e no up after the heel strike. Got home took the dog for a 2 mile jog, warm down with drills. Then spent till one talking to Sam Cromwell about how little we both knew about building regs and how many houses,loft conversions,extensions we had done and had signed off despite this lack of, what some people call, essential information. The upshot being i could’ve got a bike ride in and tomorrows forecast is biblical. First sportive of the year “the daffodil” next sunday.
